Professor Gamal Ahmed Hosney is a trailblazer in the field of Orthopaedic Surgery, earning recognition as the pioneer of Pediatric orthopaedics, bone lengthening and deformity correction in the world since 1983 [more than 40 year experience].
His impact is evident through the establishment and leadership of the Bone Lengthening and Deformity Correction Centre at El-Haram Hospital, where he has successfully overseen thousands of limb reconstruction cases. He has played a crucial role as Head of the Orthopaedic Surgery Department at Benha University Hospital and as the President of the Egyptian Orthopaedic Association, contributing to the advancement of Orthopaedic practices in the country. Internationally, he held the position of President of the International ASAMI and Bone Reconstruction Society, showcasing his dedication to shaping the global landscape of Orthopaedic care. He is currently the specialty editor of JPO-B, Chair of pediatric Orthopaedic Specialty of SICOT & President of IFPOS.
